The FBI are to allow relatives of Flight 93 victims to hear the flight cockpit recordings of activity on the plane in the moments before it crashed into a field in Pennsylvania on Tuesday 11 September 2001.
Under federal law, the safety board would normally only be allowed to release transcripts from the flight recorders during a public hearing or when a majority of factual reports on the crash are completed.
However, the US Government alledgedly want people to hear the truth, so they are allowing the families to listen to the tape in a single sitting.

Europe’s global positioning satellite system Galileo was approved today.
Despite the obvious gains in terms of independence from the current US-based GPS, the one main disadvantage will be the introduction of global monitoring via mobile telephones.
Plans are already underway at the European Space Agency to introduce locator chips in the next generation of mobiles in order to pinpoint the phone’s user to within a metre of their location.
It may sound paranoid, but you would have to be naive to believe that the only application of such technology would be for the emergency services to locate someone calling them from the scene of an incident or accident.

Consignia have announced massive job losses as part of a company shake-up brought on by rapidly escalating financial problems.
One of the reasons?
Fewer letters being sent, due to e-mails and text messaging.
If this doesn’t convince anyone that the letter is dead, you’re either deaf, daft, dumb or delirious.
Long live email.

Here’s an interesting email about an F-16 fighter jet taking off from Toledo Airport in Ohio before Flight 175 hit the World Trade Center on Tuesday 11 September 2001.
If fighter jets were taking off in Ohio, why were they not scrambling in Pennsylvania, or more importantly, in the USA’s captial city, Washington?
